Express Helicopters

Operated from c.1976 to c.1980

Founder/Director – Unknown

Another company which remains something of an enigma was Southminster based Express Helicopters. What is known is that around the mid-70s, this company would open a base on Aviation Way from where they would offer rotor wing flight training, charters, sales and maintenance services. As many as four Jet Rangers were on strength although it is likely that two of these aircraft were leased. These Bell 206s were subsequently used for executive charters with a pair of them spending some considerable time in Scotland, while training was performed in a Bell 47. The registration of the latter airframe however, remains unknown.
