Arcus Air Logistics

Has Operated from 1973 to Present

Country of Origin – Germany

Founder/Director – Unknown

Based at Mannheim City Airport in Troisdorf, Germany this airline initially started out as a small charter and scheduled service passenger airlineĀ  which flew a small number of inter-city routes within Germany itself. Then in 1997, Argus launched subsidiary Cosmos Air and with one Do 228 and a single Do 328 it began operating services between Templehof & London City Airport amongst others. However, this particular route was to only last for two years and the airline along with the Do 328 was eventually sold off.

From this point on, Argus Air’s main remit has been to offer charter work which consists mostly of freight/courier flights although passenger charters are still offered too. As far as SEN is concerned, Argus Air’s Do 228s have been turning up at SEN every now and then from the mid-90s up to the present day. Movements often occur at night and it would seem that many of them are usually flown on behalf of the Ford Motor Company. In recent years this company has added two Embraer Phenom bizjets to its fleet, although it would seem that this type has yet to venture into SEN.
