Air Lynx

Based at Southend from c.Apr 1977 to Feb 1978

Founder/Director – Unknown

Another small SEN company to emerge did so in the form of Air Lynx, although like a number of similar airlines before it, it lasted but a single season. Just two aircraft made up its fleet which was comprised of one Dove and a single engined Comanche, their main remit being the carriage of small animals and other light freight loads to the Continent, particularly Germany. However at times, their sole Dove was seen operating passenger charters too, one of which included a flight to Berlin in May 1977. Come the autumn, the airline was wound up and the Dove sat prop-less over the winter until finally being sold abroad in February 1978.
